Just last night I walked through Brooklyn and thought - It's Snowflake Season!
So why not offer up a SnowFlake Challenge!
Last month I shared a blog post on how to make Code You Can Touch using Scratch and maker tools like Electronic Cutters (i.e. Cricut and Silhouette) or Laser Cutters.
As we enter Computer Science Education Week, I'd love to offer up the following Challenge.
What if you used your coding skills to CODE a SNOWFLAKE?
Some of you might have already tried coding a snowflake using this CODE.org tutorial
If you have not tried it yet, go ahead and work through each of these mini lesson.
By end of the tutorial you will have the skills you need to code your own snowflake.
Code with Anna and Elsa
Let's use code to join Anna and Elsa as they explore the magic and beauty of ice. You will create snowflakes and patterns as you ice-skate and make a winter wonderland that you can then share with your friends!
Start by watching this 3 minute introduction, then go ahead and complete this CODE.org tutorial to learn to Code a Snow Flake.
Then get ready to apply your new skills and Take the SnowFlake Challenge.
Use any platform you want to Code a SnowFlake. Scratch and SNAP are great options to get you started.
